CRICKET WORK DAYS
23rd March 2008

Each year prior to the season we try to organise several work days in order to ensure the ground is ready for the new season. In previous years these have been very poorly attended and usually involve the same people each year. The committee this year is looking at starting the work days from Saturday 29th March at 9.00am and continuing each weekend until we are ready. At the next committee meeting we will be compiling a list of tasks that need to completed by the first Saturday. As a club we are very fortunate that our excellent groundsmen do a lot of the pre-season work for us but they cannot do all the tasks which need doing. More information will follow so please spare us a few hours of your time and save us from finishing these tasks on the morning of the first game!

3RD TEAM CAPTAIN

We are currently looking for a player to take on the responsibility for the 3rd XI this season. If you are interested in helping out please let one of the Cricket Committee know.

We are always on the look out for volunteers to score the senior matches. No experience is required as this can all be picked up on the way. We can offer training but you do need to be amenable to travel to away games, transport will be provided. So if you’re interested please contact Mary Beardshaw or Dave Parry.
