The Junior Committee meet regularly and are currently working towards Clubmark which hopefully will open up many doors for us and will enable us to become one of Tamesides focus clubs. The committee consists of Andy Neill (Junior Chairman), Sue Wharton (Junior Secretary) Nigel Andrew (U15s Manager) Tom Stenson and Steve Wharton (U17s Manager) Safraz Ismail (Junior Coach). We are always interested in recruiting new talent and if anyone feels that they would like to join the Junior Committee they should leave a message at the club and either Andy or Sue will contact them.

CRICKET WORK DAYS

Each year prior to the season we try to organise several work days in order to ensure the ground is ready for the new season. In previous years these have been very poorly attended and it is usually the same people each year. The committee this year are looking at starting the work days from Saturday 29th March and continuing each weekend until we are ready. The season starts on Saturday 26th April 2008. At the next committee meeting we will be discussing the tasks that we need to complete by this first Saturday. We are as a club very fortunate that our excellent groundsmen do a lot of the pre-season work for us. More information will follow so please spare us a few hours of your time and save us from finishing these tasks on the morning of the first game!

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

We are planning several fundraising events for the 2008 season but are always happy to hear of any more ideas.
At the moment we have EURO 2008/GRAND NATIONAL AND 20/20 CRICKET fundraisers planned. We will also be doing the usual football cards at each senior home game so please don't come to the club empty handed!

Fundraising ideas can be passed on to any member of the Cricket Committee.
